This song is my effort to proclaim the sentiment that many people carry similar to what I have. Never mix music and religion! I personally am not hindu but have heard this song when I was young with friends or around where I lived for years. Moreover, in voice of Jagjit Singh, my all time favourite Ghazal singer, it makes it even more special! I have certain memories associated with that, which reminds me of my childhood! I have heard from religious fanatics, many a times, that if one listen to this or similar songs, it is considered a sin against my own faith. I personally consider my GOD to be of higher standard than just mere at human level thinking, who will be upset with me for listening to this song. GOD can see your heart and he knows exactly what a person thinks or believe in. I am in no way condemning those people with this ideology, rather I am asking people not to judge people who merely appreciate the music and never mix music with religion. I hear some sufi music too and I love it, I hear some gospel music too and I love it. There is nothing wrong in listening to music of this kind. Ofcourse, it could be detrimental if the music has lyrics that points to devilish acts, full of swear words or malice in heart and I strongly oppose that. I strongly feel that this kind of thought process doesn’t do good for overall humanity. Look at what religion has done so far to human kind. Mere google search and knowledge of history related to this proves my point. I think we have forgotten BEING HUMAN in the race of religion! First everyone should aspire to be HUMAN and then only think to the level of their own faith, keeping it personal and not enforcing certain beliefs/standards on other people. Especially of those which are misinterpreted, or which they just like to profess to public but they never follow that themselves and set the worst example out there it could be. Being religious without being human is like being a cop without certain moral standards and that leads to corruption and oppression of others in the end! This song recording is my effort to give message to all, follow your religion, but don’t forget to be human and respect each other! Talibani concepts of anything can lead to eventual destruction of freedom/peace that we all value the most,either atheist or religious person. Let’s work towards a greater understanding between religions and stop the hatred! Spread peace and love! If you agree with me, please spread this message.
