● Since - Starting point of time. When something started in the past and continues till now. Since is generally used in present perfect tense and present perfect continuous tense.
Examples. - since Thursday - since 6 o'clock - since morning - since February - since 2021 - since I left the office.
● For - Duration of time . - Period of time.
When we measure the duration of something or how long it lasts. For can be used in different tenses. Examples - for six minutes - for two hours - for twenty years - for three months - for two centuries - for six days
