members of the Nesco Shakti Karmachari Sangh on Wednesday, 21 August 2013 staged a demonstration in front of the Assembly to press their two-point charter of demands. They demanded implementation of the revised wage structure already due from April 1, 2010 for them and pensioners of the OPTCL, OHPC, OERC and Gridco and the four distribution companies Nesco, Wesco, Southco and Cesu.
They too demanded regularisation of outsource persons and non-formal workers in the Nesco engaged through different labour contract agencies. "The workers are working for the Nesxo for last ten years through these agencies but are yet to be regularised," said Sangh general secretary Niranjan padhiari.
