This is the second lecture on Astronomy and Astrophysics. In this lecture we give some basic idea about Astronomical Scales. First we discuss about Radiant Flux and Luminosity and their units. Also we find the relation between radiant flux and luminosity. Then we see on which factors radiant flux depends. Then we evoke the idea of Absolute Magnitude of a Star and derive absolute magnitude of a star equation. We also try to find out the relation between absolute magnitude and luminosity. At the end of this video we discussed about bolometric magnitude and colour index of stars.
